Terms of use
Using Economics Made Simple
These terms explain the basis on which you may use this website and its tools.
Educational information, not advice
EMS provides educational information and estimates. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. The Take-Home Pay Calculator is an annual estimate based on its stated scope and assumptions. Check important decisions with HMRC, payroll or an appropriately qualified adviser.
Accuracy and availability
We work to make the website accurate and current, but rules change and individual circumstances differ. We do not promise that every page will always be available or free from error. When the calculator cannot safely load its rules, it is designed not to show a fallback calculation.
Acceptable use
You may use the website for personal study, teaching and lawful reference. Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, introduce harmful code or use its content unlawfully.
Our content
Unless stated otherwise, EMS owns or licenses the website's text, design, software and original resources. You may link to public pages and use reasonable extracts for personal study or teaching with appropriate acknowledgement. Do not republish or commercially exploit substantial parts without permission.
Links to other websites
External links are provided for convenience and context. EMS is not responsible for another website's content, availability or privacy practices.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, EMS is not responsible for loss caused by treating an educational estimate as professional advice or by circumstances outside the stated scope of a tool.
Changes and governing law
We may update the website and these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to its courts.
