Information handled by the website

• Calculator inputs and saved scenarios remain in your browser and are not sent to EMS.
• Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site, may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page and time of access.
• If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message.

Why we use it

Technical request information is used for security, reliability and basic traffic measurement. We handle correspondence so we can respond to you and keep necessary business records. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating, protecting and improving the website and answering enquiries.

Sharing and retention

Cloudflare processes technical information as our hosting and security provider. We do not sell personal information. Correspondence is kept only while it is needed to answer the enquiry, resolve related issues or meet legal record-keeping duties. Hosting and security records follow Cloudflare's applicable retention controls.

Cookies and browser storage

EMS does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. The calculator may use browser storage on your device to retain saved scenarios and preferences. You can remove this through your browser settings.

Your rights

You may ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or object to or restrict certain uses. Contact us using the email above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
