EMS should work for everyone

We want the website to be clear and usable across different devices, input methods and access needs.

What we aim for

• Keyboard access without requiring a mouse or touchscreen.
• Visible focus and clear page structure.
• Readable contrast, responsive layouts and useful text alternatives.
• Support for zoom, larger text and reduced-motion preferences.
• Plain language and controls that do not assume specialist knowledge.

Testing

The Take-Home Pay Calculator has automated and rendered-browser checks for keyboard use, screen-reader structure, contrast and responsive behaviour. New public areas are checked as they are introduced. Automated checks support accessibility work but do not prove every experience.

Known limitations

We do not currently have a recorded accessibility limitation on these public pages. This does not mean that no problem exists. We will update this page when we identify one that has not yet been resolved.
